Maybe you have heard someone say, "God said it. I believe it, and that settles it." as good as that may sound, it does NOT properly reflect the truth. |
The psalmist David declared, "For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven...," [Psalms 119:89]. Every time we read the Bible we have access to the "mind of Christ" [see I Corinthians 2:13, 16]. If we refuse to do the will of the Father, Jesus will say in judgment, "I never knew you, depart from me..." [Matthew 7:23]. |
The true attitude we should have toward the Holy Scriptures should be, God said it. That settles it, whether I believe it or not!" |
Do you believe God's Word? For you, does God's word settle all religious matters once and for all? Are you living by the word of God? |
Dear reader, please give heed to the words of Jesus: "He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day." [John 12:48] |
